About The Vitality Files
A personal investigation into longevity science and biohacking — shared honestly, without the hype or the supplement-shill agenda.
Why The Vitality Files Exists
I started this blog because I was frustrated by the gap between what the longevity research actually says and what gets amplified online. On one end: overly cautious medical advice that amounts to "just eat vegetables and sleep 8 hours." On the other: breathless biohacking influencers hawking $400 supplements with zero peer-reviewed backing.
The Vitality Files lives in the middle. I read the studies — the full papers, not just the abstracts. I run the experiments on myself. And I share what actually works, with full transparency about the evidence quality, my personal biomarkers, and where the honest uncertainties lie.
My Background
I'm not a doctor. I'm not a credentialed researcher. What I am is someone who has spent years obsessively reading primary literature, tracking my own biology across dozens of biomarkers, and connecting with researchers and practitioners at the frontier of longevity science.
My perspective is that of an informed layperson doing rigorous self-experimentation — not a clinician giving medical advice. Everything on this site is intended to be educational and should not be taken as personalized medical guidance.
The Six Pillars
My research and personal practice center on six interconnected areas:
Frequency & Energy
Sound therapy, binaural beats, and the science of frequency as a wellness tool
Sustenance Files
Clean water, longevity-focused eating, metabolic flexibility, and what you're actually consuming
SuppleStack
Evidence reviews of NAD+ precursors, minerals, nootropics, and adaptogens
Biohacking
Zone 2 cardio, strength training, VO₂ max optimization, and performance tools for longevity
Cosmic & Conscious
Astrology, crystals, lunar cycles, intentionality, and spiritual frameworks in modern wellness
Environment & Toxins
Microplastics, forever chemicals, fluoride, and practical strategies to reduce your body burden
My Approach to Evidence
Not all studies are created equal. A mouse study showing lifespan extension with a supplement tells us something interesting, but it's very different from a rigorous human RCT. I try to be explicit about evidence quality in every article:
- Strong evidence: Multiple high-quality human RCTs with consistent results
- Promising: Mechanistic plausibility + some human data, but limited or mixed
- Speculative: Interesting animal or in vitro data with limited human evidence
I try to separate what I believe from what the data supports, and to update my views as new research emerges.
